RBEF’s success is based on a strong volunteer support system. You will find many ways to become involved in the effort to help us accomplish our mission.  If you would like to get involved with RBEF, there are opportunities to volunteer as a Site Advocate at your child’s school or to assist with any of our events throughout the year.

RBEF Event Volunteer

RBEF is always looking for great volunteers who are interested in assisting us with any of our 4 signature events throughout the year: Investor Drive (September), Skechers Friendship Walk (October), Community Classic Golf Tournament (November) and Light Up the Night (May).

RBEF Lead Site Advocate – Overview

The RBEF LEAD SITE ADVOCATE is a dynamic volunteer position where your role is to educate the families at your local school site about the benefits of investing in the Redondo Beach Educational Foundation throughout the year as well as encouraging families to participate in various RBEF fundraising events. Every School Site has a Lead Site Advocate who is supported by an advocate team.

  • Represent and communicate on behalf of RBEF at your school site throughout the school year establishing a solid and consistent RBEF presence on campus.
  • Communicate and Market the following 4 main RBEF events at your school site:
    • Investor Drive (September)
    • Skechers Friendship Walk (October)
    • Annual Mayors Golf Tournament (November)
    • Light Up the Night (April)

  • Regularly meet and coordinate with your Principal to promote all RBEF events/programs at your school site throughout the year.
  • Attend Occasional Site Advocate Meetings, which may include:
    • – May (prep for Upcoming School Year)
    • – Late August -Start of School Year (Prep for Investor Drive and Skechers Walk)

  • Regularly attend PTA Executive Board Meetings as an Invited Guest to establish an open line of communication with your PTA regarding upcoming RBEF news and events.
  • Regularly attend PTA Association Meetings at your School Site to report to your school regarding RBEF news and events.
  • Recruit and Organize Additional Site Advocates on Campus at various grade levels to work as a team on campus.
  • Attend RBEF Quarterly Open Board Meetings (optional)
