SESSION A (8:00 AM)

Real World Applications is a mathematics course preparing student for divergent thinking built within the California Core Math Standards, using project-based learning. The course is designed to incorporate the eight Mathematical Practices, stated below, by incorporating and building upon the foundational skills of algebra and geometry in a project-based setting.
Mathematical Practices
1. Make sense of problems and persevere in solving them.
2. Reason abstractly and quantitatively.
3. Construct viable arguments and critique reasoning of others.
4. Model with mathematics.
5. Use appropriate tools strategically.
