Yearlong course Pre-calculus emphasizes the study of functions and their graphs, including polynomial, rational, exponential and logarithmic functions. Trigonometry pertains to the study of trigonometric functions, their use in the solution of right and oblique triangles, and general theory of trigonometric relations. The TI-83/TI-84 graphing calculator will be used extensively in this course.  Session A is a full semester of Pre-Calculus and Session B is a full semester of Trigonometry.                                                                                                           

Prerequisite: Successful completion of Algebra 2                                         Grade Improvement, Credit recovery or Advancement
Meets UC/CSU “C” requirement for A-G
Note: Not recommended for advancement if student plans to pursue AP Math courses in high school.
